A Holiday Tuscany home in Montisi
San Martino Montisi is under the town-council of the famous Montalcino well known for its fine wine Brunello di Montalcino. The ancient farm complex was built originally around 1400 and enlarged at the end of the 1700s and the beginning of the 1800s. It is located on the main street of Montisi, and the main courtyard is accessed through an impressive archway with solid wooden gates.

A true ex farmer home
Up to 1992 various farming families lived here; they used to breed cattle and poultry and worked in the surrounding fields where wheat, barley and corn were planted. Nowadays farming has been greatly reduced and at present is concentrated on the production of wine and olive oil.
The entire farmhouse and its associated farm buildings are now occupied by its owners, who have carefully restored parts of the complex to create two delightful and original apartments.
Enjoy privacy and relax.
From the courtyard and lawn at the rear of the house you can enjoy the view of an enchanting and relaxing landscape, made up of woods, lines of cypresses, vineyards and olive groves. It is a peaceful hideaway where the only sound comes from the birds’ singing and the rustling of the leaves.
A strategic position
Thanks to its position in the centre of the village, there is easy access to basic amenities such as a post office, bank with ATM, grocery store, a bar (with a wonderful cappuccino!), bakery and restaurants.

The Apartments of the Farm House
Two apartments are available for guests: they are both on the first floor, accessed from the main courtyard via wide stone steps, and they each have two bedrooms (one double-bedded, the other with twin beds), a sitting room with kitchenette and dining area.

Bathrooms are equipped with shower. The decor and furnishings are traditional and rustic, in keeping with the restoration of the old building, though with modern fixtures and fittings. Private parking.
